What ItsReleased is — and what it is not
Everything published on ItsReleased — launch coverage, product comparisons, buying guides, calculators and verdicts — is general information and honest opinion, prepared for Australian readers. It is not professional advice of any kind, and it is not a substitute for advice about your own situation. Whether a product is right for you depends on your needs, your budget and your circumstances, and only you can make that call. For help with a specific purchase, a warranty claim or a dispute with a seller, go to the retailer, the manufacturer, or your state or territory consumer protection agency.
Prices and availability
Prices on ItsReleased are checked against Australian retailers before an article is published, and the page shows when they were checked. Prices still move — sometimes within hours — and stock runs out. The price that counts is always the price at the retailer’s checkout, not the figure on our page. Treat every price here as a checked snapshot, not a promise. If you find a price that has changed, you can report it from the article page, and we will deal with it under our Corrections Policy.
Accuracy and corrections
We research before we publish: product details are checked against the manufacturer’s information, prices are collected from more than one Australian retailer, and dates are confirmed rather than guessed. Our Editorial Policy and How We Verify pages set out that process in full. Even so, mistakes can happen. When one is pointed out and confirmed, we fix it openly rather than quietly. Pages may be updated after publication; the version you are reading is the current one.
Intellectual property
The text, graphics, branding and layout published on ItsReleased belong to us or to our licensors. You are welcome to read the site, share links to it, and quote short extracts with a credit and a link back. You may not republish our articles in full, copy substantial parts of the site, or scrape it in bulk without our written permission. Product names, brand names and trademarks belong to their owners. Naming or picturing a product does not mean its maker endorses this site, and it does not mean we endorse everything that maker sells.
Comments, votes and submissions
Parts of ItsReleased are interactive: you can comment, upvote products, keep a wishlist, ask us a question, suggest a launch, report a price change, and — if you represent a brand — submit a product through our Promote Your Product page. You are responsible for anything you submit. Do not post or submit anything that is unlawful, misleading, defamatory, harmful, or that infringes someone else’s rights, and do not use these features for spam. Submissions through the Promote page are reviewed before anything is published, and we may decline a submission without giving a reason. By submitting content to the site, you give us permission to publish and display it here. We may moderate, edit for clarity, or remove comments and submissions at our discretion, and we may remove votes or restrict accounts where results are being manipulated.
Links to retailers and other websites
Our articles link out to retailers, manufacturers and other third-party websites so you can check a price or read a specification at the source. Those sites are run by other people, under their own terms. We are not responsible for their content, their prices, their service, or how they handle your information. A link from ItsReleased is a convenience, not an endorsement of everything on the site it leads to.
Affiliate links and advertising
Some links on ItsReleased may in future be affiliate links. If they are, and you buy through one, we may earn a commission from the retailer at no extra cost to you. Our affiliate program is currently switched off, and we are not earning commissions at this time. If that changes, our Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure will say so plainly. Either way, commercial relationships do not decide our verdicts: sponsors and advertisers do not get to influence what we recommend, and paid placements are kept separate from reviews as described in that disclosure.
Liability and your consumer rights
To the extent permitted by law, ItsReleased is not liable for loss or damage arising from your reliance on information published here, or from your use of the site. Nothing in these terms removes or limits any right you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded, including the consumer guarantees that apply to goods and services sold in Australia. If a product you bought turns out to be faulty, your rights are against the seller, and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission explains them at accc.gov.au/consumers.
Privacy
How we collect, use and store personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us when you use interactive features such as accounts, comments, the newsletter and price alerts.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date at the top. If you keep using the site after a change is posted, you are accepting the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. By using this site, you agree that any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the site will be handled under Australian law in Australian courts.
