Eufy Video Doorbell S4 Australia: VR viewing doorbell

Eufy’s 2026 flagship doorbell is the world’s first with VR/panoramic viewing. 3K HDR sensor, 180ยฐ field of view, AI visitor tracking, radar + dual PIR motion detection.

What’s new

The VR/panoramic viewing is genuinely novel โ€” no other doorbell offers it. The 180ยฐ FOV and AI tracking are strong on paper.

Australian price and availability

TBC. Launched globally September 2026. No confirmed Australian pricing yet (US $299).

Our verdict

Too early to tell โ€” we haven’t tested it, and AU pricing isn’t confirmed. The VR viewing is intriguing but unproven in real use.

Background: Billed by Eufy โ€” Anker’s smart home brand โ€” as the world’s first smart doorbell with VR viewing. It sits in the Edge 5.0 lineup, announced alongside the SoloCam E50.

Camera: A 3K HDR sensor at 3072×3072 resolution (roughly 9 megapixels) with a 180-degree field of view both horizontally and vertically โ€” showing visitors head-to-toe plus packages on the ground. Up to 8x zoom, and dual spotlights for colour night vision.

VR mode: When someone rings, your phone shows a call-style notification. Answering opens a full-screen VR feed โ€” tilt the phone or use a VR headset to look around the entryway in real time, with two-way audio.

AI tracking: Eufy’s OmniTrack AI locks onto visitors and auto-crops the panoramic frame to keep them centred. Radar plus dual PIR sensors detect motion up to 8 metres; it detects people, packages and faces.

Power and smart home: A 2,600mAh backup battery covers power outages. It works with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit (HomeKit requires the separate HomeBase S380 gateway). Local storage via HomeBase S380 with no monthly subscription.

Pricing: US$299.99 standalone (includes Chime 2); a bundle with two SoloCam E50 cameras and HomeBase S380 costs US$949.98. Shipping is scheduled for late October 2026.
